Introduction

Welcome to Hoopla.Cab, a cab hailing and delivery app developed and operated by Hoopla Solutions Ltd. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Hoopla.Cab app, including Riders and Drivers (including Driver applicants). It also covers all services provided through the Hoopla.Cab platform, including our mobile apps, websites, and other related features (collectively, the "Hoopla Platform"). By using Hoopla.Cab, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide to Us

1.1 Account Registration: When you create an account with Hoopla.Cab, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, birth date, and payment information. You may choose to share additional information for your Rider or Driver profile, such as your photo, saved addresses (e.g., home or work), and other preferences.

1.2 Driver Information: If you apply to be a Driver, we collect the information you provide in your application, including your name, email address, phone number, birth date, profile photo, physical address, government identification number (e.g., social security number), driver’s license information, vehicle information, and car insurance information. We also collect the payment information you provide, including bank routing numbers and tax information. Depending on your location, we may ask for additional business license or permit information or other relevant details for managing driving and related programs.

1.3 SOS Contact Information: To enhance user and driver safety, we may request permission to access your contact list to list SOS contacts for both the user and driver apps.

1.4 Ratings and Feedback: When you rate and provide feedback about Riders or Drivers, we collect the information you provide in your feedback.

1.5 Communications: When you contact us or we contact you, we collect the information you provide in the messages or attachments exchanged.

B. Information We Collect When You Use the Hoopla Platform

1.6 Location Information: To provide efficient cab hailing services, Hoopla.Cab collects location information (including GPS and WiFi data) based on your app settings and device permissions:

Riders: We collect your device's precise location when you use the app, from the time you request a ride until it ends, including when the app is running in the background.
Drivers: We collect your device's precise location when you use the app, including while it is running in driver mode or for a limited time after you exit driver mode to detect ride incidents. We continue collecting this data until a reported or detected incident is no longer active.
1.7 Usage Information: We collect information about your use of the Hoopla Platform, such as ride information (date, time, destination, distance, route, payment, and promotional or referral codes), interactions with the app, and other related activities.

1.8 Device Information: We collect information about the devices you use to access Hoopla.Cab, including device model, IP address, browser type, operating system version, carrier and manufacturer identity, radio type (e.g., 4G), language preferences, application installations, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, and push notification tokens. For Drivers, we may also collect mobile sensor data (e.g., speed, direction, height, acceleration, deceleration) for technical purposes.

1.9 Communications Between Riders and Drivers: We facilitate communication between Riders and Drivers without sharing actual phone numbers. However, we collect information about these communications, such as phone numbers, date, time, and contents of SMS messages. For security purposes, we may monitor or record phone calls made through the app with prior notice.

1.10 Address Book Contacts: With your permission, we may access and store names and contact information from your address book to facilitate actions like referrals.

1.11 Cookies, Analytics, and Third-Party Technologies: We use cookies, tracking pixels, data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and third-party technologies to understand how you use the Hoopla Platform, improve user experience, provide better ads, and save preferences. You can modify your cookie settings on your browser, but it may impact certain features of the Hoopla Platform.

C. Information We Collect from Third Parties

1.12 Third-Party Services: We may receive information from third-party services necessary for core features and additional services, loyalty benefits, and promotions. These include background check providers, insurance partners, financial service providers, and others. The information may include background check data for Drivers, insurance, payment, transaction, fraud detection information, loyalty program data, and demographic and market segment information.

1.13 Enterprise Programs: If you use Hoopla.Cab through your employer or organization participating in our enterprise programs, we may collect information from them, such as your name and contact details.

1.14 Concierge Service: If another entity orders a Hoopla ride for you through our Concierge service, they provide us your contact information and ride details.

1.15 Referral Programs: If you refer someone to Hoopla.Cab or are referred by another user, we may share relevant information with the referrer or the referred user.

1.16 Other Users and Sources: Other users, public sources, or third parties like law enforcement, insurers, media, or pedestrians may provide us information about you, especially for investigations or support.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

2.1 Provide the Hoopla Platform: We use your data to verify your identity, manage your account, process rides, calculate payments, connect Riders and Drivers, and facilitate ride experiences.

2.2 Maintain Security and Safety: Your data helps us verify safety requirements, investigate and resolve incidents, prevent fraud, and remove unsafe or fraudulent users.

2.3 Build and Maintain the Hoopla Community: We personalize content, promotions, and advertising, facilitate donations, and communicate about events and campaigns.

2.4 Provide Customer Support: We use your data to assist you with questions or issues related to the Hoopla Platform.

2.5 Improve the Hoopla Platform: We analyze data for research, testing, and development, to improve user experience, and fix bugs and issues.

We do not sell your personal information. However, we may need to share it with other users, third parties, and service providers for legitimate business purposes:

3.1 Sharing Between Hoopla Users: We share necessary information between Riders and Drivers to facilitate rides and ensure safety.

3.3 For Legal Reasons and to Protect Hoopla Platform: We may share your data to comply with applicable laws, legal proceedings, enforce Terms of Service, cooperate with law enforcement, protect against harm, or exercise legal claims.

3.4 In Connection with Sale or Merger: In the event of a change of corporate control (e.g., merger or sale), we may share your personal information.
